A 4 oct range? Holy crap man..that is excellent. When(and a big IF) we get a group together. will certainly keep ya in mind...but Carmel is a helluva long way to get to rehearsals lol In fact , there's a Internet DJ named Dr Phil whose on Thurs nites 6 to 8 on doowopcafe.net who used to sing w/ Teddy and the Continentals way back when..and HE even finds it a slight burden to get here to Napa from Santa Rosa..and as I said, Stevie lives about hr away near Richmond..Quite a log haul for everyone involved. Anyhow..didn't know Franny Giordano..However was good friends w/Pat Mollitieri..God rest her soul!

Take care..keep in touch via Email dolphinwing@sbcglobal.net
BTW, go visit my site featuring my old group..Gives you our history and a few song snippets www4epics.org

But Hey.. we dont give up..we still try...God bless ya..you're still active..Singin' is good for the soul...Hang in there man!...Jimmy

Hi, Glo. Thanks for writing. Well, to hear my group (I do several different acts) you'd have to come to California. Right now, I am performing with a band called The Double D's. We'll be at the Longstock Summer Solstice Festival in Santa Cruz in June. I have appeared as Roy Orbison in the Legends In Concert at The Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas and also with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper in "The Winter Dance Party" tribute show. Back in the eighties and early nineties, we had a group called, "The Clowns' Rock & Roll Revue". We did a cover version of "We Belong Together" which Don K. Reid used to play on his oldies show in NYC. The Clownrock cd used to be available on cdbaby.com/tcrarr. Some of these songs are now on Youtube. The most popular are "Clownrock", "Clowns' Theme" and "Dream On Girl". There is also a version of Clownrock with "Sims 2 meet The Clowns". Our clown characters were made into puppets and so the legend continues.
In addition to singing, I am also an actor and writer. My novel, "Summer At Sea Shell Harbor" (amazon) - a 1950's coming of age story, set in The Hamptons is being made into a feature film. There is a movie trailer of it on Youtube as well. It has some good rock and roll songs on it. (Some very obscure).
I will be performing as Roy Orbison later on this year in Los Angeles and hopefully after that, the show will tour. If you send me your email address, I will send some photos and other info about Dickie Doo Wop & The Debs.
By the way, I grew up in Brooklyn and lived on Foster Avenue and East 46th Street. We hung out on Avenue D. One of The Five Discs, Paul Albano, lived across the street. We used to sing in doorways on the corner.
Best wishes, Richie D.

I grew up singing rock and roll on the streets of Brooklyn back in the fifties. My love of music continued on and now I am a professional singer. In addition to impersonating Roy Orbison in Las Vegas and California, I also have a group called, Dickie Doo Wop & The Debutants. We appear in oldies shows and other venues. I love The Malt Shoppe of memories and all of the great DJs. Rock On!
